Reels and Live Video have swept the social sphere on Instagram and Facebook with video becoming the main form of content users are consuming these days. New video editing tools make creating dynamic videos on Facebook simpler and new locations for content make consumption even easier to find. Sounds like a win/win?!

We love this new feature because you don’t need to be a seasoned video editor. Queue iMovie vibes, 2010. Make unique content with:

  • Seamless Editing: Add audio, text, and music to your Reel by sliding the little handle bars every which way. BONUS!! It’s also available on Meta Business Suite for reels and for video on Feed! So if you have clumsy thumbs like some of us here at MorningBird, hop on the desktop for more ease of use.

  • Clip Editing Tool: Reverse or speed up/slow down your video for dramatic effect. No more weird 3rd party apps to try and achieve this.

  • Enhanced Audio: Add voice overs, take out random noises, and spice it up with an enhanced music library. (We’ve been waiting on this one…the music for Business accounts is super limited and quite frankly, BLOWS.)

Where to Find Your Videos:

All videos on the Facebook platform live in one happy home now. Facebook Watch and the Video tab have moved in together to bring you Reels, live videos, and long-form content, all in one spot. Once you enter the realm of the Video tab, Facebook has taken a page out of TikTok’s playbook and now it’s a never-ending scroll of content about the stuff viewers already like, new stuff they’d want to know about, and to the ability to engage with other people with similar interests in the comments section.

Lastly, you can now engage with Instagram Reels through Facebook without having to go to IG. One less step, thank goodness. Even if you don’t have an active Facebook profile, you can still watch Reels. Make your life easier by adding Instagram and Facebook to your Accounts Center, especially if you have multiple pages/accounts.

We’ll keep an eye out for these ever-developing tools so that you don’t have to do the heavy lifting and can just have fun with them! Happy editing!!
